The oldest UFO

My oldest UFO is getting quite popular and deserves it's own page!
If you have any unfinished projects that are just aging in your draw, dig them out and start stitching! If you like you can join us and we will be stitching these oldies together. Here are the rules:

  • You can join at any time
  • Post the progress of your work on your own blog with the label "the oldest UFO" and let me know that you did it. You can post the progress of your work (on that UFO of course) as often as you like but you must post it also on the last day of every month. That one will count towards a prize!
  • If you do not have a blog you can play with us also but you must have at least on-line photo album where we can see your progress. Just make sure that your photos are uploaded to the folder "The oldest UFO" by the end of each month and remember to send me an email.
  • There will be a prize for the most stitched UFO!!! It would be not fair to say for most finishes because some UFO's will need maybe 100 stitches to finish and some could have 1000s! The first prize I will draw on January 1, 2012 and it will be a $25 Visa card. After that I will have prize every three months: April 1, 2012; July 1, 2012 and October 1, 2012 will close the year. I have no idea what prizes I will choose, it could be just a surprise!
If you have a question send me note to magicnorth@hotmail.com

Lets have fun together!

  4. I'd love to sign up for this one Evalina! I believe my oldest UFO is a Noah's Ark sampler that I started before any of my boys were born. It's at work right now, because I sometimes stitch on it there, but I'll bring it home so I can start on it again here and get an updated picture of it.

  5. I've decided to join! I have many old UFO's that need to be finished. Do I have to pick just one or can I do more than one? I have a few that are smalls. That is why I ask.

    Thanks!

  8. I've decided to join in! Whenever anyone discusses UFO's I quickly scroll down to the next message however working on one UFO at a time starting at the oldest is do-able. My oldest WIP is Castle Sampler - pretty much all of them are TW's lol. I will add some information to my blog in the next few days.

  14. Hi Evalina ... me again. Could you please delete my Number 28 position. I set up an album in photobucket to track my progress. Easier than wading through my blog :-) Thanks so much - and I'm actually enjoying stitching this BAP ... hopefully I can keep up the momentum!!

  17. Thank you Evalina!! I can't believe how much I've done on my Angel this month. All I needed was a little incentive! I'd really like to have her done by my birthday, which is in March - and then my gift to myself will be starting a new project! Here's my progress up to today http://s527.photobucket.com/albums/cc352/Janny2525/Oldest%20UFO%20SAL/
