Heart of the Valley update

It's been a good weekend. So far I studied a little, stitched a little and watched Olympic games a lot. Here is my Heart of the Valley:

It is my first time of stitching with silk floss. Flowers inside the heart I stitched with 2 strands  of floss and I was having a battle with the tension. So, the rest I'm stitching with single thread and it is a little easier...

  1. Very pretty! The single stranded parts look very delicate compared to the flowers.

  2. Pretty design....been wondering if you got your test results. Since you posted about studying I remember you posted back in December you were studying and then taking a major test...not sure if it was a certification or what. Hope your results will be in soon and I am sure you ace'd it.

  6. Not all, but several silks are considered to be equal to two threads of DMC. Your stitching is sooo pretty!

  8. I'm enjoying seeing your progress on this one. I like the contrast between the flower and the scenery.
