My stitching stand went to the carpenter for a little adjustment, it wasn't able to hold bigger frame. In the meantime I'd dig out the Bluenose Dime by Lynn Nicoletti and I've done a lot (in my opinion) for 3 days of work.
before and after
fabric: antique blue lugana, 32ct
floss: DMC cotton and DMC rayon
Now, I have a dilemma - my stand is back and I can stitch Ann Kirby again but the Bluenose Dime is really calling my name and I want to finish it... I think I can do it in 10 days or so. It would be one less WIP in my pile and one more finish for the year.
I love the bluenose dime! You're doing a great job. I know how long stitchery takes. Glad you're enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I always do the project that calls!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress. Whatever calls loudest wins :)
ReplyDeletegreat progress - i say finish this if you are enjoying it, Ann can wait - Amanda
ReplyDeleteI say go for the finish! It's looking great.
ReplyDeleteOh yes you have to finish this! So many beautiful shades of blue and an interesting design.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Wish I could say the same for our Irish bog midgies...I am being eaten alive!
ReplyDeleteLooking great, love the cool colours, just what I need to see at this moment with the heat.

The colors are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh I would stick with it! It will feel great to have one less. =)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I am looking forward to watching your progress on this. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice.:)
ReplyDeleteI love the Bluenose Dime. I think, if it interests you the most right now, then that is what you should work on.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely great progress. Why not finish it before getting back to Ann Kirby?
ReplyDeleteNot that many mosquitoes? Hmm, they must have migrated down to Prince George and ate me while I was there. Then I came back to Vancouver, had a bbq and was eaten up by the Van (wimpy) mosquitoes!! I'm hoping they leave me alone soon...tired of itching. Love the fabric you are stitching your Bluenose on. I think you made great progress! It's going to look great once completed!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
What a wonderful design and such great progress. You should continue to work on it. Have you done any stitching on Good Morning.

Bluenose is beautiful! Of course you should keep on stitching if you're loving it right now!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I hold great respect for anyone who can count such tiny stitches and not lose track! Ha! Thanks for sharing.
