and here they are,

chickens, my new project, thanks to Lily.

I absolutely love this chart, but I never stitched on towels before and I'm finding so frustrating to work with them. Fabric is soft and very nice, but the wholes are so big that my needle is constantly slipping away. I changed my needles to bigger size (24), they feel so awkward and huge (normally I'm stitching with 26 and 28) and still disappearing... Any advice?

  1. Gorgeous job Evalinmarie :-)-- such tiny stitches-- cross stitchers always have my deepest respect for attention to detail and patience!

  3. Patience seems to be the only trick when working on towels. Have fun and Be always in stitches.

  4. Your towel is coming along nicely, even though it's giving you fits. I'm having the same problem with my kokeshi.

  5. Just keep going with it.
I am doing a big stitch project at the moment and using a larger needle definitely takes time to get used to.

  7. Very cute, Evalina - maybe try size 22 - I know it's big, but it might work better.

  8. While I don't have any advice about the needle issue I did want to say that I love the colors in this piece.

  9. No advice, just have to stick with it. I've done a few bibs and I think they are pretty much the same. Are you using 2 strands or 3? That might make a difference.
