Mine was fabulous! The weather was good (a little cold but the sun was shining and the sky was blue), the food was excellent and I had a great company. As a grandma-in training I coloured Easter eggs (I haven’t done that in the last ten years). I watch some Easter movies, a little of Jesus Christ Superstar (love the music), King of Kings, Jesus and the first part of new Ben-Hur. Three times I saw Jesus being crucified and three times he has risen again. And I was stitching a little on the Tiger. It is going much slower that I expected, I think just because there is tons of confetti stitches.
Swans are back!
Even though the snow is still on the ground and temperatures are below freezing point we have first signs of spring: the return of the swans (and other waterfowl). As they head to their nesting grounds further north, the birds gather by the hundreds at M'Clintock Bay on Marsh Lake just minutes from my house. The bay is the first open water in the region and offers them easy access to food. During the peak of the migration (usually mid- to late-April) as many as 2,600 swans have been counted at Swan Haven (I love this name!).
Sounds like an awesome time for Easter! Love the tiger progress and your swans are so beautiful!

Your Tiger looks great, nice progress.
ReplyDeleteYou are really blessed to live where you can experience such sights of wildlife.
Swans are so pretty. Lucky you, we just have those yucky Canadian geese.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I don't associate swans with your part of the world! Awesome photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tiger - beautiful swans!
ReplyDeleteYour tiger is coming along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice, relaxing weekend!
Happy April!
Your Tiger looks great
ReplyDeleteYour tiger is looking great. How fun to see all of the swans. We have several national wildlife preserves close to us that get a lot of different bird migrations, it is really neat to see.

Great progress on the Tiger, he is starting to look grand!
ReplyDeleteLove the Tiger outline! The swans look so elegant on the water. My weekend was spent traveling home after vacationing all last week. Very quite Easter since my son didn't come home since we just got back. I did get to see my GD and she took about 5-6 steps on her own, she's just 10 mos. today!
ReplyDeleteThe swans look awesome and I love the scene behind them too. Your tiger is looking good. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great week-end. Your tiger is looking great and love the picture with the swans.

Slow? If that's slow stitching, I'm a turtle, because my cross stitch pieces take me years, LOL! It's looking great! Love the swans!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good Easter, Evalina. Tiger looks really nice. Wonderful photo of the swans :)
