Gosh! Again I've lost an hour! This morning I woke up early and had so many plans for the morning - nope, none of them happen. I have no idea why we changing time on the north. There is no savings here... it's almost eight o'clock and still dark outside.... I guess it will be nice to have an extra hour of daylight in the evening, but our evenings are bright already and our days are getting 'longer' by six minutes every day - soon the darkness will be gone and sun will shine at midnight.
Couple of weeks ago I received floss in the mail and had no idea why did I order it. I look on these beautiful colors and couldn't figure out which projects they belong to. About ten days later I received the chart and the mystery was solved. A while ago while browsing Blogland I fell in love with lovely project design by Joan A. Elliot. I liked it so much that I ordered the chart and floss right away and forgot about it... To prevent further 'senior moments' I started to stitch immediately, here is the progress:
I know, I know - I promised not to have any new 'starts' before at least three projects are finished from my WIP pile - I just couldn't resist the cheerfulness of this design...
So long my friends,
Evalina
Хорошо вышивка шьется.Тепло и радостно.
ReplyDeleteI think DST is ridiculous in the north. Perhaps we should start a movement against it. We could join the Peel protesters.... Love the cheery colours in your new piece.
ReplyDeleteOf course you started it. Anyone would have done that.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Daylight Savings time either. But there's not much was we can do about. You're needle work looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt is cheerful. You are obviously happy while stitching it, you have a lot accomplished.
ReplyDeleteI Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is looking very bright and cheery:)
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty and vibrant! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty start! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteHi Evalina. Of course, I love your new start. I started this one last year. Looking at yours, makes me want to dig mine out and work on it.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand Daylight Savings Time. I guess it made sense before the electric light but we have the technology! The sun doesn't affect us anymore. All it does it make it harder to get my girls to bed once I finally had them on a decent schedule.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's a pretty one! Can;t wait to see more of that rooster :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the mystery floss made me smile, because I can imagine having the exact same reaction!
Love the new start! And yes, I would think it weird that you guys have DST, when you have so much daylight and you'd think you'd want the AM daylight now. But who knows? Probably easier for everyone to be on the same time schedule? Well, except for AZ, that is! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love that design too, Evalina. I know Linda has started it and it really makes me smile. I'd like to stitch it some day too!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I wonder where you'd end up to find that out? What type of planet it would be and what the aliens would look like, not to mention why the heck!? :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous stitching :D
