I just came back from our Mary Kay Seminar, it was fantastic! I had fun, I'd learn a lot and I'm very excited about my new venture.
Something had made me reflect on life... Look on the pictures below. The first one was taken some 20 years ago and the second just last weekend. Two same persons on both pics believe it or not. In my opinion Lorraine (lady in blue on the first photo) looks better now than twenty years ago. I can not say the same of me... twenty years ago I looked awesome now I look like !?#@. The difference is that Lorraine is a full time Mary Kay director and I decided to pursue career in accounting... Can I reverse the damage I have done to myself? What are your thoughts?
So long my friends,
Evalina
I disagree, you both look a bit older and wiser! Best of luck in your new adventure!!!
ReplyDeleteOK you look different. Not worse, just different. You have gained wisdom and life experience. As an accountant you have changed lives in a meaningful way. Your knowledge and influence has bolstered families and businesses, giving them security in a changing world.
ReplyDeleteIn the photos the lighting is different and so is the background. Today you look composed, knowledgeable and reliable. I think your skin looks marvellous and your colouring, including hair colour, is very good indeed. Your friend does not look any better than you at all. You live in a harsh climate and yet you both look really lovely.
Evalina there is beauty in aging. And you are a beautiful woman with a lovely smile!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet xxx
ReplyDeleteI think you both aged beautifully :) xxx
ReplyDeleteYou both look great , we all age over time everyone will one day ,thats one thing we can't stop .
ReplyDeleteBut we can all shine with whats inside . Wishing you a good day.
I think you are being very harsh on yourself. Your here, alive and well, healthy and hopefully happy: thats all that matters. And if your not happy then it is up to you to make it so you are. Saying that, ageing is scary but hey, we all gotta do it! I intend to hopefully age (first) and secondly if I do get to keep on aging I am going to make sure it is done disgracefully lol!
ReplyDeleteEvalina, you look beautiful! Happy and relaxed! Like the stitchersanon I intend to age gracefully. I do look in a mirror and say who is that old lady? lol But then I look again and see my mother at that age and in my eyes I always thought she was elegant and beautiful! So I should be honored! I also tell my age proudly....I earned every wrinkle.
ReplyDeleteI think you both look great Evalina.

You're far too hard on yourself - you've aged very gracefully and you look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWe are always hardest on ourselves. To be honest, I think you are the one who aged best, but you both are beautiful. And you look so much happier in the second picture, so you must be doing something right.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think you both look beautiful. I certainly don't see anyone who looks bad! Be gentler on yourself! Life happens and generally leaves it mark on our faces!
ReplyDeleteI think you both look lovely, so happy to be together! To my English eyes you look more natural, you are definitely the person I would want to talk to and feel comfortable chatting with you.
ReplyDeleteYou do look amazing on the previous photo for 40, you look at least 10 years younger there! This is where I struggle myself, after years of looking alot younger I now seem to look my age and I don't want to LOL
You look good now it is a lovely picture hugs Marie-Claire
