Happy Tuesday!

The winter is back in the Yukon. The last couple nights temperatures dropped to -20°C (-6°F), today is snowing like crazy... but there is a promise of a Spring by the end of the week... we'll see.

Yesterday I had a nice surprise on the way to work:

A caribou! (the rest of the herd is not visible, it is closer to the bush)

Scene like that reminds me why I live here...

And since I'm so sick and tired of winter ready for spring I put away my Heart of the Valley for a while and started on a tiger, to celebrate Year of the Tiger.

I know that isn't much, just one ear, but look how gorgeous he will look when he is done:

Wow... that caribou is so cute! (and I know deadly). Here's hoping for spring soon for you! We don't have spring yet either... snow forecast for tomorrow.

  12. Just had to take that "What Kind of Cat Are You?" quiz on the side bar. Turns out I am a Lynx. I don't sound all that bad. LOL

I tried to post a comment on one of your 2010 finishes - I just love that Asian piece with the Buddha. Is it Chinese?

  17. Great start on the Tiger. I did several wild cat heads on black and they are really stunning! This one will be too! Love the wildlife in the road...hopefully they don't get hit as often as the deer around here do!

Evalina, your drive to work offers some neat critters...down my way, it's skunks or raccoons.
