spammers - the war is on!

Spammers did not give up. They've stole my name and are sending emails to my friends. If you received an email that it looks it could be from me but says 'hey (your name)' and has links  and nothing more - it is not from me. If I would find an exciting web site and want to share with all of you, I would blog about it. The fake email is not send from any of my email addresses even though it says it is from Evalina Zamana. It looks like they were sent somewhere from China.

Does anyone has any advice?

So long my friends,
Evalina

  1. I had this happen to me: I just changed my log in details on my email account xx That seemed to do it xxx Computers put through random email addresses and try obvious pass words until one clicks: of course they do this thousands at a time until they get in. Just changing your details should be enough

  2. You are not alone. I belong to a group that has also been hit by hackers. First it was the group site and then the members of the group. Horrible! We had the same experiences that you had. I used my computer security program Norton. I ran scans for everything I could think of. Now I feel safe again. I truly hope that the hackers did not get to you from anything on my computer. Do not give up. I think they are doing it for fun, not to steal your banking details or anything like that. I do not think they will come back again. Good luck and keep smiling.

  3. I don't have any advice but also just want to give you some support in knowing that you are not alone. It has happened to me and to pretty much everyone I can think of. I agree with the other commenters that changing your password often will help. I wish you the best. It probably won't happen again!

  4. Just change your password on your email account. That should fix it. Sorry :(

  5. I feel bad.....I am sure you changed all your passwords? I know of one blogger who closed her blog and reopened it under another name. These hackers need to be hunted down via their computer numbers and made to pay steep penalties. xo

  7. I am so sorry for your Evalina. I have no advice on this one other than to change your password to one that is a combination of upper and lower case, characters and numbers.

  8. Sorry you're still having trouble with the spammers. I read that if you leave your email program open while surfing other websites that the hackers could gain access to your email. I guess these hackers have hidden programs that are attached to other websites and when you visit the website, it activates the hidden program and takes over your email. The advise is to change your email password, log out and turn your computer off. Once you restart you computer, run a virus scan and clean off anything that is found.
