Blue sky, sunshine, birds are signing - the spring finally came to the north. The lakes are still frozen, there are no green leaves yet and the grass is just starting to show here and there. In the shadow I can still find small patches of snow...
Every year it amazes me how quickly everything grows under the midnight sun. I can notice the difference with my naked eye just by looking at plants in the morning and later at the same plants in the afternoon.
The weather forecast isn't so great for today (see my local weather), looks like my beautiful sunshine will disappear soon. On the bright side, that's good - I can study for the finals and maybe stitch a little without distraction.
So long my friends,
Evalina
Pretty flowers, Evalina. And hey, at least you got some sunshine. I usually like rainy days cause it means I don't have to water, lol.
ReplyDeleteVery colorful flowers! It is good to see a bit of a touch of spring, even if it is just for a day or two :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a good back up plan too if the day turns out to be a bit cooler and you need to stay inside :)
enjoy the weekend

We have a few wildflowers blooming here on a small hill next to our house in Colorado. But the wildflower seeds I planted never bloom. But finding these small treasures, the ones that nature planted is a delight. I am still amazed by the patience it must take to stitch your paintings.
ReplyDeleteNature is amazing. I like that she makes up for a long, cold winter with swiftly growing spring plants! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene in your photo! I'd like to be living in a house right there : )
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and posting on my A-Z Reflection post- much appreciated
Good luck with the studying. And have fun with the stitching.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view and that lake looks wonderful frozen or not!
ReplyDeletebeauty and appreciation is what I see and hear in your post
ReplyDeletethank-you for finding me in the a t0 z challenge.
'Congratulations on finishing.
Your weather looks very similar to what we had in Iceland. Although not as warm.
ReplyDeleteStill, it's Saturday. And, in my book, that spells glorious. Rain or shine.
Where in Connecticut did you live?
Lovely view and weather! Good luck on your studies! Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteEvalina - what a pretty name! And what a gorgeous part of the world you live in. I always think of myself living in "the north" until I meet up with someone like you... now THAT's the true north strong and free!

I hope that you enjoyed your sunshine and your stitching. Thanks for visiting my blog via A-Z. Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteHi Evalina! Wow, you really made the most of the challenge getting all of the books. I see that you're on Goodreads! I LOVE it! I'll send you a friend request on there and we can keep up. Cross stitch is so amazing to me. My sister used to do it a lot as well as my niece. My sister's eyesight now makes it hard for her to do it. But I have some beautiful pieces she's done for me over the years. Glad I found you! (Or you found me!)
ReplyDeleteHi Evalina! Thanks so much for visiting my blog, I'm so glad to have found yours as a result. This picture is lovely and I hope you enjoyed the sunshine while it was there. I love your little assistant ZoomZoom, what a handsome guy! He reminds me a bit of my kitty.
ReplyDeleteSo great to meet you! :)
Hi EvalinaMaria, thank you so much for stopping by to see me, your sweet comments and for following me yesterday! I am your newest follower and look forward to reading more of your blogs.
ReplyDeleteKathy M.
Gorgeous picture. Yes our weather is grim today as well after being lovely if a little chilly yesterday. Love the pic of your cat.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! I hope the weather is better for you today than it is where I live. We're having a very rainy day. :)
ReplyDeleteFrozen lakes still, and here this year our lakes never totally froze over...such a strange thing. Hope you're warming up every day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on so many of my posts. I miss the English weather sometimes (so cosy to snuggle in front of a crackling fire when it's raining outside) but I must admit to loving the California sunshine. We even swam in our pool on Saturday - in May! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your finals, Evalina. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo, even if there's still snow. Temps are in the upper 70's here right now, with the sun shining brightly.
Hi Evalina! I wanted to thank you for your recent visit to my blog to check out my Reflections Post.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
