Saturday morning in Port Alberni

Snow, snow, snow everywhere... about a foot thick blanket of snow had cover Port Alberni over night. It was snowing yesterday but just a little, this morning I woke up to real winter-land. This is on my deck:

I tried to go for a walk with Frosty but I was sinking in the snow - maybe later I will drive with her to a place where she can have a good run without the leash.

In February we usually have crocuses and camellias in bloom (that's from February a year ago)

Thank goodness there is a rain in forecast.

So long my friends,
Evalina

  1. Hi Evalina,
This winter keeps going and going. Heavy snow here as well. Have a good weekend.

  2. Hello, I hopped to you from Sophie and Ron. Our older daughter and family have had 13 days skiing in B.C. at Sundance Resort then Sunpeaks. Flying from Kamloops yesterday morning, too much snow, plane delayed 4 hours, graders and de-icing planes, then finally to Vancouver where it was all WHITE. Then a 2 hour delay on the runway. I read of a weather alert, downtown traffic with huge problems, and looking at your deck, guess more fell after they finally flew out. Sunday morning here in New Zealand, and they land in about one hour. You have been in so many places, and now living in a truly beautiful part of the world. Greetings from Jean.

  3. Love your snow picture Evalina. I think snow is beautiful if I don't have to go out in it.

  9. Oh my goodness. The deck brings back so many memories of living in New Hampshire. Bill and I would wake up to this also, and for sure it would be a hot soup day. We would just get the driveway cleared and the snow plow would come along, and we'd start all over again.
Looks like a good day for you to sit in your favorite chair and stitch! Love you my dear friend.

  11. Wow crazy! Reminds me of Colorado where I grew up. It could be a blizzard one day and then like 60 the next!
