30-day minimalism challenge - Day 13: Create a relaxing bedtime routine

Improve your sleep quality and energy levels by taking the time to properly wind down at the end of each day. Do some writing, read a good book, have a cup of tea, get everything ready for the next day, etc. Try it today!
That sound like a wonderful idea!

So long my friends,

  1. Oh I long for a normal sleeping pattern. At present I am only managing about 4 hours of sleep every night or early morning. I have tried the winding down, relax and drift off method... I just can't seem to fall asleep. I do find that after a few days of only 4 hours my body gets exhausted and I literally just fall asleep when that happens. As you know I don't need a lot of energy, ha ha being bed bound I just don't need it! So maybe this is a way of me coping with my current situation? It's awful not being able to sleep...it's just gone 5 am now and I am still wide awake. I try my hardest not to sleep during the day and so far I am doing well! I guess people have different issues why they can't sleep, for me pain is a big factor. It's ok, I get yo watch twilight TV... Or zombi hour as I call it! Terrible in a word! I don't have the concentration to stitch through the night or I would... Oh wow I would double my stitching finishes! Ha ha
I hope your having better luck at sleeping than me!
    Big smiles :)

  2. My bedtime routine involves bathing my son and then snuggling down for a cuddle. On a good night. On a bad night it involves him bouncing around on my head which is not relaxing.
