Snow!

You should see my amused face when I open my eyes this morning. Every day I was hoping to see trees covered with green buds - instead I saw at least seven inches of SNOW... It's May 16th for God's sake!

I am so tempted to stay home and stitch but the weather man is saying that later in the morning the snow will stop. I guess I should go to work earlier to skip the traffic...

So long my friends,
Evalina

  1. I remember when we live northern Wisconsin, and getting a few late snow storms. Most people south of us got rain, we got it as snow. Ugh.

Poor you. I won't torture you with what I see outside my windows, except to say, the only white I see is my flowers.:-)

  2. Oh yuck!! Okay Evalina - you need to move south! We've been enjoying mid-20's celcius weather for about a week now, and I'm working in my garden every day. You're right, however, that at least you have an excuse to sit inside and stitch ;-) Stay warm my friend!

  3. Oh my. No snow. Just unseasonably chilly. At least it looks beautiful, although I don't suppose that is much compensation.

  6. wow, just wow!!!!

We had 30C here yesterday and are headed to it again and not that far away you've got snow. Insane.
However they say that system will hit here on Friday and can't seem to decide between snow or rain for us. Ah, Canada in the "spring". I think we don't really have that season up here. :)

  7. It's gorgeous to look at, and I would like it for a day or two if I didn't have to go anywhere. Otherwise, Yick!!!! I hope you get some buds soon, Evalina. Doesn't Mother Nature know it's supposed to be Spring???

  11. When we lived in Montana, one year we got 6 inches of snow the Thursday before Memorial Day (last Monday in May). Thankfully it melted within a day. Does look pretty though!!

  14. I would be so depressed to see that much in May! I have seen it snow in May in MI, but not that quantity!

  20. How nice to find your blog, and thanks for stopping by mine. Your stitchery is inspiring. You may keep the snow, however.
