IHSW

Last night was snowing here. Can you imagine? Its May 20 for god's sake! I was hoping that the white stuff will be gone by the morning, but I was just dreaming...

Doggies did not mind at all but I would like to do some gardening! Believe me or not - The Maritimes look closer and closer to me...

Frosty Girl is growing nicely and I can't hold her anymore the way Freddy does. My little puppy is too big and too heavy already.

I've made some progress on M. Quertier 1799 last weekend. Can you see? I've done two motifs!

Unfortunately the 'M' had to go. It was too big and in the wrong spot. Now I need your advice. Look on the picture below - I think it is a little too crowded where the writing is. I think I would like to move the motif above the writing a little lower, place the writing in the marked area on the bottom right and move the motif above the area a little higher. What do you think?

So long my friends,
Evalina

  1. I agree! There are a couple of motifs that seem a bit too close.

  2. As a Floridian, all I can say is you can have that weather :D

    It's still great scenery, though.

  3. Awww! Frosty girl is getting really big and more fluffy! So sorry about all that snow...urgh. Let's hope it melts quickly!! I think putting the M and the date on the right hand bottom corner will look better too. You've made great progress so far!

  8. What the heck? It's way too late in the year for snow! Though I guess other parts of the world are getting far worse weather right now...

  9. I think your idea for the changes on the design would be perfect. That is one BIG adorable Frosty Girl. I would like to spend the winter in the snow as long as I could stay home. But, enough is enough. lol

  10. Nice stiching! Do you need the writing at all? Or could you stich it with smaller letters?

  11. Are you following a pattern for the motifs or are you freehanding based on the original? Either way, that's pretty awesome! As a Floridian, I wouldn't mind some snow right about now!

  13. Here in IL, we've had snow on Memorial Day (last Monday in May). Winter just doesn't want to leave!

I think your changes will work well.

  14. Snow in May? Are you in Canada? I know it has been snowing a lot out west. here in the south we finally had a great mild spring before summer's heat comes. Hopefully, summer will be mild too. Loved the pictures of your dog. Mary from Mary-andering Creatively.

  15. What a difference in temperature within one country! It was 34 degrees celcius with the humidex (Yes HUMIDITY YUCK) yesterday. I love how diverse Canada is :) I agree the writing should be moved lower down. Beautiful puppy picture. Have a great week.

Awww your sweet little puppy is getting so big. She's adorable.

Love your stitching. I am with you, the words look all jammed up in there. I like your idea to change it.

Hope you find the July issue of Cross Stitch and Needlework Magazine soon so we can SAL together on the new Barbara Ana design. I am so looking forward to it. :)

Hugs and blessings always dear friend.

  19. At least we were not alone... Technically, because it is May 2-4 today, I feel I can comment :). It snowed in the Rockies this week and luckily, Calgary has just been drenched. You have my sympathies...this winter has been a long hard one.
