T for Tarzan (A to Z Challenge)

Did you know that the story was written in 1912? I never read any of Tarzan books but I loved all movies.

    I've never read the books either. But I am very distantly related to Johnny Weissmuller who was the actor in the movies in the 30's and 40s.

    Wow! I didn't know the books have been around that long. When my husband and I were first married, we went to Silver Springs in Florida where they filmed the movies.

    wasn't there a Tarzan tv show/series? Seems like I remember that when I was growing up! (uh-oh, that really dates me)

    I owned several of the Tarzan books (and read them). I also remember the Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies as a staple of weekend afternoon TV in the 1950's, when I was growing up in New York City.
