Another year and another A to Z challenge. Last year my theme was ancient Egypt this year I'm taking you to places that I would love to visit.
During my blogging years I've met many beautiful Aussies and I would love to visit Australia sometimes during our winter. It would be so much fun to experience Australian Christmas
along with longest days, sun and sandy beaches. My part of the world would be covered with cold and darkness while I would enjoy cold beer and some BBQ.
I also found a lovely cross stitch chart 'Australia' - from coast to coast, from koalas to kangaroos - it is going on my wish list!
Is there anything I should know before visiting the marvelous land of Oz?
So Long my friends,
Evalina
Sure, Australia's pretty, but it'll try to kill you the second you look around and get distracted by the beautiful scenery!
ReplyDeleteThat cross stitch series looks cool. I'm going to have to look it up on amazon!
Good start to the A to Z! Looking forward to see where you'll bring us tomorrow!
Australia is beautiful, so much diversity, great weather, friendly people....so start saving Evalina!
ReplyDeleteI will take you around Perth!
Australia is looking so lovely..
ReplyDeleteGreat start to the A to Z ..
Hugs x
I'd never be able to go to Australia, I'm terrified of spiders! I can't even handle the harmless ones we get here.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you get your wish to visit Australia some day.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to make it to Australia some day. But, yeah, the spiders would be a concern.
ReplyDeleteAustralia is definitely worth a visit - beaches, beaches and more beaches - gorgeous wildlife too - hope you get your wish and are able to visit :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit Australia and New Zealand...and Madagascar...and...and...and...
ReplyDeletemeanwhile, it's one more reason I enjoy reading other peoples' blogs!
Yes Australia is on my list too! Look forward to reading your A-Z :)
ReplyDeleteI spent a year in OZ during college and my Christmas celebration was just as you described: beer and BBQ! A wonderful country! If you go to Victoria, be sure to see Wilson's Prom, Beautiful beaches and camping areas! Happy A-to-Z 2013! ~Angela, Whole Foods Living
ReplyDeleteI want to visit Australia too!!
ReplyDeleteAustralia, that's like a world away from me. I hear you need a couple of months to really experience Australia. Good choice for A!
ReplyDeleteAll of the above Eva, it's beautiful, dangerous, thrilling, wonderful, warm.
ReplyDeleteLove your first post! If you need a tour guide for Sydney let me know. I'll show you all the icons. :)
Oh my Evalina. I see another SAL in our future if you can find that chart. I have it in my stash and would love to stitch it with you when we finish Good Morning. Love your A start.

what a lovely Australia cross stitch design! Ron lived in Australia for two years. It depends on the time of the year, which places are great to be. He has been to the top part of Australia, near Brisbane and toward the south. You should talk to him about his adventure one day, eh?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun A-Z theme you chose this year! That's a pretty chart.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can imagine Australia at Christmas! I went to Florida in December years ago and it was so strange to see people mowing grass around their Christmas lawn ornaments! Here in my part of Illinois, we've never mowed the grass in December. We're usually shoveling snow around our Christmas lawn ornaments, lol.
ReplyDeleteAt the absolute worst, it looks more active than my pajama Christmas was. I might try that some time if I could find the weather!
ReplyDeleteGood topic and a great 1st choice, I'll be looking forward to see where else you take us.

I'd love to visit Australia too!
ReplyDeleteAustralia is high on my list of places to visit too. Especially because I have a sister who lives there.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Australia, but it is one of the places I sure would like visit! I remember when I was a young teen, my 20-something aunt travelled there and spent several months enjoying it. I was a wee bit jealous!
ReplyDeleteMy sister just visited Australia. She said it was an amazing place!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great first post! My dream is to live in Australia one day. It looks so beautiful! I hope you get to go there :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to Australia some day! Never been, but friends who have say it's beautiful. (The spiders are a bit too big for my liking!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I've never been to Australia but I would LOVE to go! I could certainly give you Italy-related tips though :)
ReplyDeleteSam
I wouldn't visit at Christmas time - too hot. A better time is March/April or Sept/Oct. Having just been to Tassie I'd say to go there, but if you ever come to Brisbane I'd show you around.
ReplyDeleteI've never been there either but would like to some time, g'day.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning a trip to visit a couple friends in Australia in August. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYou should come visit Brisbane! And I will say Australia is as wide as America if you ignore Alaska its the same size as the USA. So you won't see everything or close to everything in a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI have friends who have relatives in Australia and I'd love to tag along with them on their next trip. It looks like such an interesting part of the world.
