Of course I would love to see the pyramids,
and sail the Nile,
and try some of the Egyptian cuisine, and much more...
While preparing for the trip I'm reading and trying recipes from
For the stitching part I will work on Egyptian Sampler by TW
I've started this piece a year ago and completely forgot about it. Here is my progress so far
So long my friends,

I would love to visit there:)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Egypt in the late 80's. Guards stood around the museum doors with ancient rifles, guarding King Tut's treasure. The pyramids are amazing. I've written several books which include Ancient Egypt. Still Rock Water is the first.

Whoa, that sampler is wild! I never imagined their culture producing those sorts of things, too.
ReplyDeleteEgypt is on the top of my list for places I want to visit, there are just so many reasons I want to go there, the Pyramids being the main one :)
ReplyDeleteAww I been to Egypt and it was so much fun..

If you're going to Damascus you might as well stop in Egypt while you're there. Fascinating country!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty Egyptian project! My dear friend was in Egypt when the uprising happened.Very scary!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and interesting challenge! That sampler is absolutely beautiful. Though much more than I could ever take on for a project. I visited Egypt many years ago - be sure to shop in Alexandria -so amazing.
ReplyDeleteExcuse the spelling meant to say stop not shop...though I guess you can do that too!
ReplyDeleteMy kindle is always modifying the words I type sometimes its more nuisance then help. ;)
I would like to travel there with you!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you going?
ReplyDeleteMy neice lived there for two years as her husband worked at the embassey. My sis flew
over and got to sail the Nile (Poirot style) and see the pyramids. She said there is a
MacDonalds right in front of the pyramids, can you imagine that? She bought caftans for 2 buck and beautiful Egyptian towel on the cheap.
I'm loving your A-Z theme! So many inspiring places... I'd like to go to Egypt and Syria because of Agatha Christie!
ReplyDeleteMy in-laws went to Egypt several years ago and really enjoyed it. I love your Egyptian Sampler and you have made great progress. Something I wouldn't stitch though. I'm still trying to get caught up with Good Morning. Its a fun stitch.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Hope you reach Egypt one day!
ReplyDeleteStopping in from A-Z!
I would also love to visit Egypt. To simply set foot and be among all that history would be so divine. The stitch work you have in progress looks great.
