Day six of the crazy challenge

Today was time for Just Nan to get started. I was planning to start with Christmas Secret and I did, kind of... This is how it suppose to look
but I did not feel like stitching over one on 32 ct... So I took the chart and start to stitch a bookmark. Instead of Christmas Red I'm using Jewel of the Nile from Carrie's Creation. Yes, I'm stitching it on 14 ct for a change.

Day five of the crazy challenge

Today's new start is 'Forget Me Not' by Nancy Turner from The Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe. I had a piece of evenweave just the right size and color (light blue forget me not) and a lovely floss from Nancy called 'Ocean Waves".

Day three and four of the crazy challenge

Here are my starts for the third and fourth day of the challenge:
 Shadows
 A Mind Independent and Free

I just noticed that I'm starting two samplers with same motto:
'No glory I covet,
No riches I want.
Ambition and beauty are nothing to me.
The one thing
I beg of good heaven to grant
Is a mind
Independent and free.'

Hm... why that mind independent and free is so important to me?

Crazy challenge - day two

Yep, Linda was right on! Today's start was 'Friendship' by Little House Needleworks.
I adore this chart and I'm sure I'll stitch it more than once...

Crazy challenge

Happy New Year everyone! This year again I'm taking part of the crazy January challenge where for 15 days (some more crazy stitchers do it for the whole month of January!) I do new starts from my stash and trying to stitch them through out the year. Today is day one and I started to stitch Snooty Parrots Sampler designed by Barbara Ana.

It wasn't a very good choice for a New Year day to stitch on 40 ct linen... you know - New Year celebrations with champagne, hard to see these fine lines...

I decided to stitch this piece with floss from Victorian Motto Shoppe (1 thread over 2) and so far I like it. I know it's just a few stitches there and you really have to use your imagination...

Can you guess what I will be stitching tomorrow? I can give you a little hint: it will be a piece from Little House Needlework.

So long my friends,
Evalina
