12 days of Christmas...

I love Christmas and everything about Christmas. Even though I'm not very religious I do like the traditional magic of this day, a little baby Jesus was born to save us.

The first day of Christmas we started with Mimosa (mix of champagne and passion fruit) and eggs Benedict. Ironically I started to read Pagan Christ by Tom Harpur... and my imagination took me to ancient Egypt. To bring myself back to reality I baked some Hungarian Kifflies (recipe was a compliment of Penny). And my first day of Christmas was very relaxing.

The second day of Christmas I started with Spanish coffee (the one with brandy) and ended with a dinner at neighbours. And, I started a new project... For Christmas I bought myself Asian Scene with Buddha and he was calling my name... so again, poor Frederick is on a back burner...

On the third day of Christmas I created a new yahoo group for cross stitchers that like do exchanges of their work, ideas, stash and so on. If you would like to join go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/crossed_exchanges/

I have a finish!

I didn't work a lot on Frederick lately... I got tempted by Wanda from Edmonton! She sent me a lovely kit from Mill Hill, how could I resist working with those beautiful beads! And here he is, all done, Twinkle Claus:

And finally I can share a picture of a card that I stitched for Karen:

Exchanges and stitching

I would like to say thank you to Shelley for being a wonderful partner in 12 days of Christmas exchange. Check the picture on the right to see what I received from her.

There are couple of items are missing on that image, the CD (it is in my CD player) and an ornament "I Believe" (it is in my briefcase). The ornament was my lucky charm on the exam.

And here are gifts from Jillann. We are partners in Advent exchange and that exchange isn't over yet... more goodies are coming! Thank you so much Jillann, you are a great partner!

And I was stitching this weekend! I was tempted to start a new project but I decided to hold my horses and work on Frederick the Literate. Here is the progress..

On the Fourth Day of Christmas

from my exchange partner I received the cutest ornament that says "I Believe" and the first thing that pop into my mind was "I believe that I will pass my exam today". I'm taking this ornament with me for a good luck.

12 days of Christmas

Tomorrow and on Friday I'm writing exams and I thought that I will think about Christmas after those exams. What a silly thoughts! My Christmas exchange packages arrived and I'm "forced" to open them...

On the first day of Christmas I received...

a beautiful pair of socks! It is 26 below zero and I can really use them. Very thoughtful of my partner.

On the second day of Christmas I didn't open any presents but on the 3 day of Christmas I opened 2 of them:

And look what I got!

Now I can listen to Candle light Christmas and have some Snowmen poop!

Thank you partner, you are making my days much brighter!
