I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

Today I'm just sore and tired so I will wine a bit. I have no idea what I've done to myself yesterday but again I had a sleepless night. My shoulder bothered me a lot... I went to see my doctor at the end of summer but he had no idea what's wrong with it. The ex-ray didn't show anything abnormal and I  knew I do not have any broken bones. I am very disappointed with my doc, well to tell you the truth I'm outraged by his luck of professionalism. Do you know what he told me? "Ma'am you are 57, what do you expect?" Really I was going to sue the bastard! For god's sake, my vet is treating my pets better than he treats patients. Maybe I'm to sensitive because I'm in pain for so long, just for some reason I do not think so.

On the north we have a serious shortage of doctors. I guess Yukon is happy to get any doc, the bad one is better than none... (the one I'm taking about came straight from India). Can you imagine a doc who Google the net while doing diagnoses??? Oh, gosh! You have no idea how much I miss US and my visits to medical clinic. I didn't have any insurance then, for every visit I paid from my own packet but, oh boy! the service was fantastic.

A month from now I'm going for MRI (I had to ask for it!), maybe that test will get me some answers.

Maybe I should stitch a little... stitching always puts me in a better mood. And tomorrow is a new day. I wonder what tomorrow will bring for me?

So long my friends,
Evalina

  4. So sorry to hear about your pain. And yes, ongoing pain does make us less patient. Your doctor sounds like a mad scientist. Don't know what is up with you shoulder but I was suffering from shoulder pain and read on another blog about "impingement of the nerve" in the shoulder. I googled it and it described what i was feeling - so you can too and be your own doctor! It was very painful and then after months I turned around and realized it was gone. Hope your shoulder is better soon.

  5. I hope you take time to stitch and feel better. I think that if it were me that he reminded that I was after all 57 that it would have triggered my 57 year old reflexes that cuffed him upside the head.
Be warm and always in stitches.

  6. I am so sorry about your pain and as I was reading your post and the comments I realized that I had been having twinges of pain in one of my shoulders and after a Zumba class at my local Curves gym yesterday it isn't as stiff and doesn't hurt as much as it had been. It could be as simple as a pinched nerve and a little exercise and manipulation may solve the problem. I hope you find the cause and solution to your pain. Next time remind the dr that if he's lucky he may also be 57 one day.

  7. Sorry about your shoulder. Hope it feels better. Sometimes I think that doctors don't realize that we are people with feelings. I wonder is a good massage might help.

  9. I would've been upset if my doctor said that to me, too! Geesh. My shoulder/neck problems started 5-6 years ago. My MRI showed I had arthritis in the cervical vertebrae, and when it became inflamed would press on the nerve sending pain into my shoulder and down my arm. I went through physical therapy and it didn't help. The only thing that helped me was chiro visits. Up until a month ago, I was down to going every other month for maintenance. Now I'm back to once a week until it gets under control again. I imagine I have been over-doing with with school, work, and home stuff. And not resting when I know I should. :(
