A to Z challenge: E

When I look on the globe from yesterday post I see that my next stop should be Egypt. Those who followed my posts from last year A to Z challenge know all about my passion for the ancient sites. I have never been to Egypt but I'm planning that trip for the last 7 years or so...

Of course I would love to see the pyramids,
  and sail the Nile,
and try some of the Egyptian cuisine, and much more...

While preparing for the trip I'm reading and trying recipes from

For the stitching part I will work on Egyptian Sampler by TW

I've started this piece a year ago and completely forgot about it. Here is my progress so far

Back from journey to ancient Egypt

A whole month I was posting about gods, godesses and places related to ancient Egypt. During my journey I started to stitch Egyptian Sampler

and enabled by Meari I bought some more stash (Meari gets a brownie point)

For some unknown to me reason I've got tired of my Egyptian stuff so I decided to work on a couple of my earlier starts:

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone!

During my A to Z challenge I'm stitching Egyptian Sampler by Teresa Wentzler.

It is a slow going process as there are tons of partial stitches, confetti, one over one (I'm stitching it on 32 ct Irish linen). I started this project on April 1 an so far I have done only Osiris from the very center of the chart.

A to Z challenge

I was traveling in a blog-land and lately I came across an interesting blogging challenge to post for 26 days (Sundays are off except April 1 when the challenge starts).  Every post is designated to one letter from the alphabet (as the name says: A to Z challenge) and there has to be a theme. I've accepted the challenge and for my theme I chose ancient Egypt. Starting April 1st I'm inviting you on a journey - you will meet Egyptian Gods and Goddesses and I will share with you some stories about lives of people in ancient Egypt. To make this even more interesting I will be stitching Teresa Wentzler's Egyptian Sampler and you can follow my progress as we go along.

So long my friends,
Evalina
