Done!!!

Last weekend I was taking part in the International Hermit and Stitch Weekend. I love those weekends, thank you Joysze for hosting them. There was 98 of us! I've accomplish 2 things:
  1. finished my audio book Nefertiti by  Michelle Moran, and
  2. finished Thine is the Trick and the treat

This piece is done on the 28ct linen with Black Crow from The Gentle Art. If I would do it again, I would use just plain black DMC. The effect of over dyed thread wasn't as dramatic as I expected.

One thing less on my WIPocalypse 2012 list! Now I have to find a piece of nice black fabric for the back...

If you would like to see what others were working on this weekend click here.

So long my friends,
Evalina

  6. What an amazing finish! I love that pattern :) Nefertiti is such a great book, too. I have it in my vehicle and read it over and over again when I'm between clients. Ok maybe I should put a new book in there, but I really do like it! :)

  13. Fantastic finish!! I love this design, in fact I have the chart sitting here in front of me right now. If I should decide to start it I'll take your advice and just use plain old DMC. It works for me!

  15. I fine that the blacks are never a good turn out in the over dyes. It still looks wonderful though!

  19. Congrats on the Happy Dance! I just love the black cat with the arched back. I've reached the top right corner on mine. I'm going to stitch on it for the rest of October then put it into a rotation. It WILL be finished and framed by next Hallowe'en!

  22. Congrats on a great finish! I have used Black crow and I agree, there isn't much variegation in it.
